Complain to the Broadcasting Standards Authority

After the disgracefully one sided story that was shown on Tv1′s Close Up last night, we are encouraging everyone to send letters of complaint to the Broadcasting Standards Authority.

Considering the introductory segment of the article shows it as “Reefer Madness,” there is clearly going to be some classic Government/Media cover up involved.

Watch the story, or read the article for yourself if you haven’t already and judge it for yourself. We also have the original post on our site, with some comments.

Thanks to Hybrid for the link and excerpts.

Lemme get this straight… Dakta or NORML or somebody wasn’t “happy” with the TVNZ/Closeup coverage, so they narked on the TVNZ staffers who hung about to share a joint? http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10625910

What the hell are you people on?

  2. Put simply, it’s hypocrisy. If the message that the tour to Waitangi is apparently ‘not warmly received,’ then how come there were apparently more people from TVNZ smoking than people voicing concern on camera?

The reason we encouraged readers and members to send complaints to the BSA is because those involved did not publish the article in a fair manner. Instead, they decided to make Dakta Green look like some kind of a crazy crackhead. Have you ever seen such an up surd photo ever being used to front an article? (http://tvnz.co.nz/close-up/potbus-hits-road-3352616) Let alone the lack of any footage of support for the cause.

People around the world are sick of media and government coverups on the subject of legalisation. Like them, we have simply had enough, and are doing something about it.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. If you think narking has a place in a free society, join the fucking pigs.
